Matt Wilson brings a broad editorial background and a genuine passion for storytelling to every project he leads at British Book Publishing. He has built his publishing career around one belief: that every author, regardless of genre or experience, deserves a publishing partner who takes their work seriously from the very first page to the finished copy in a reader’s hands.

His work spans commercial fiction, nonfiction, memoir, business, and self-help titles. As one of the committed Poetry Publishers on the team, Matt approaches poetry collections with the same editorial rigour and production care he applies to every other title on the list, understanding that the form demands precision, visual sensitivity, and a publisher who genuinely values the craft behind it.

Matt draws on deep knowledge of the UK publishing landscape, from editorial development and cover design to distribution strategy and reader engagement, to help authors navigate a market that rewards those who publish with purpose and professionalism.

He also leads British Book Publishing’s work as a dedicated children’s book publisher, bringing thoughtful editorial direction and age-appropriate design to picture books, early readers, and middle grade titles that connect with young readers and the adults who choose books for them.
